![]() ![]() I am A+ certified and have been in my position for 8 months now and manage some things, but a lot of my work is still very low. My Org has an offsite MSP and me for their technical support. Hello all!Context:I am the Onsite IT person for a non-profit. Looking for training advice for a specific situation. ![]() I'd think it would actually be easier in those though, but don't really know. ![]() I'd like to see some other vendors supported like Ubiquti, Brocade, HP 1920 switches / SG Series Cisco (linksys) switches but they may not have the ability to access the configs as easily. There are other solutions that do this a well - just nice its all bundled in there together. Tells me which port the device is on Middle RightĬan see what changes were made specifically:Īlso can do side by side or full listing - and highlights the changes automagically. Make sure you setup SNMP scanning of the devices as well - when scanning PCs - you can easily locate what port the device is at on the switch which helps with troubleshooting or updating device maps (which is not as often as I should!) Just not in them enough to worry about my cli skills - but google works fine as well as SW Pros for that when I need them. I often default over to the CNA (cisco network assitant) for the gui fast interface that also will backup the configs as well for making quick changes outside of the cmd line. You have to setup the scan group with some specific data like enable login and telenet access (supposedly ssh works but I'm using telnet as it seemed to work consistently)įrom there once the device is being scanned spiceworks actually has a small tftp built in and will receive the config file and import it and document changes.īasically it alerts me when my startup and running configs don't match (like forgot the wr mem after making changes) ![]() You can setup (specifically cisco / hp and a few others) config backups. ![]()
